Here's what
the Readers think about THE GRAIL CONSPIRACY
The
genre for our school this quarter is mystery, and I'm not really fond
of mysteries, but then I started The Grail Conspiracy on Sat. I was
mesmerized and finished it Mon. night. What a fast paced book. I loved
how all the clues were woven together. I'm not even going to start The
Last Secret until this weekend because I won't do any of the urgent
requirements until I finish the book. Mary G.
I just
finished reading The Grail Conspiracy and I liked it better than The
Da Vinci Code!!!! Have you ever thought about writing it as a
screenplay?
My husband
gave me THE GRAIL CONSPIRACY to read and I just wanted to say it was
really great, read it in two sittings!!! K.
Loved the
book and can't wait to pass it on to a couple of friends. The ending
is particularly good. Thanks for a great read. Regards, B.
This
novel was fantastic! It was suspenseful, intriguing, and kept me on
the edge of my seat. I couldn't put it down. The main character,
Cotten Stone, is well developed and easy to relate to. I can't wait to
read about her next adventure in "The Last Secret". I'm waiting to
hear about the movie deal! Jen S.
What I
want to know is when is this going to come out as a movie? It has to
be one of the most exciting thrillers I have ever read. I was hooked
from the first page on when Cotten Stone (the main character) stumbles
onto the dig site with the the Crusader's tomb. The plot (and
sub-plots) is tightly woven and the characters fully developed. There
are twists and turns and the story roars forward with every word. I
could picture every scene and can just imagine what it would be like
on the big screen. If this book doesn't get picked up by a motion
picture studio, somebody is missing something! And I sure hope there
is a sequel. Amazon review.
I
got The Grail Conspiracy from Amazon because it was referred from
another book. What luck! I loved it. I can hardly wait for the sequel.
Thank you for a really good book. I am eager for the next one and for
all after that, so I hope you keep them coming. Beverly L.
This
book is an enjoyable read. It resembles the Da Vinci Code only
superficially -- it does deal with the Holy Grail, but in a completely
different manner that Dan Brown's book did. This book takes the
Bible much more seriously, and in some ways resembles the plot of some
of the "Left Behind" books with its focus on the Book of Revelation
and the anti-Christ. I found the plot to be highly original, but not
quite believable. The book is written in a simple, straightforward
style that is easy to read. The authors don't waste a lot of time on
description, and get right down to moving the plot forward. If you
like books with a fast moving storyline, this book should meet your
needs.
The Grail Conspiracy is apparently the first book in a trilogy,
with the same central character in all 3 books. I look forward to the
next book. Amazon review.
I just
finished The Grail Conspiracy and I wanted you to know that I thought
it was terrific. I had a hard time putting it down. I am telling
anyone who will stand still long enough to hear me what a great book
this is and that they need to read it. I belong to a book reading club
and I am telling my friends that this is a must read. Maggie G.
Great book - absolutely loved it. Passed it along to my in-laws! Can't
wait for the next one. Trish
Thank you so much for sending me a copy of the book (through the
AuthorBuzz promotion), I will treasure it, I have finished it and I
could not put it down. It was absolutely wonder, looking forward to
many more books from Joe and Lynn. Regina R.
This
novel was absolutely amazing. It follows in the lines of Dan Brown's
novel, but has a different twist so it makes the two novels different.
Sholes and Moore are amazing storytellers with a flair for twists that
will keep the reader guessing until the very end of the novel! I
highly recommend this novel for anyone who loved the Da Vinci Code and
Angels and Demons! Ashley S.
The
Grail Conspiracy
follows Cotten Stone, a reporter for the Satellite News Network, as
she apparently discovers an artifact that is the actual "Holy Grail."
There are machinations going on here--is Cotten a "chosen one," born
of fallen angels, whose pre-ordained mission is to stop the Second
Coming?
Never mind. At the bottom of the Holy Grail is a glob of bee's wax
that is apparently protecting a 2000-year-old sample of Christ's
blood. And a scientist wants to get hold of the blood so he can clone
Jesus. Behind the scientist is a mysterious group of conspirators
whose mission is to raise the cloned Christ in their own image--or the
image of the original Fallen Angel, if you will--to bring about a
Second Coming.
Anyway. This book is a lot of fun and highly recommended. If you were
a fan of Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code," there are definitely some
similarities, though "The Grail Conspiracy" approaches both the topic
and the thriller genre in different ways. Both deal with The Grail,
and with the Knights Templar, but "The Grail Conspiracy" deals with a
sort of mystical Big Picture, with good and evil battling over the
fate of humanity by using people who fight over the grail as a sort of
cosmic tipping point. Cotten Stone is a fully realized character with
all-too-human frailties and faults, and the authors handle her
problems expertly. She's memorable, and so is the book. Mark T.
Couldn't put it down! I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this
book, but soon I found myself unable to put it down. Very descriptive
writing that really helped me visualize the characters and story in my
head. This would be a great movie. Lots of suspense but the payoff is
worthwhile. I found myself wanting more when I finished the book.
Looking forward to another hit from these authors! B&N review
I
thought I was going to get a Da Vinci Code wannabee, so I wasn't that
excited about reading The Grail Conspiracy, but I thought I would give
it a try. Wow, was I in for a surprise. Where have these authors been?
I started reading the book the evening I bought it. I couldn't put it
down and didn't, not until about 2:00 in the morning! I had to read
the next page. This story is absolutely new territory, touching on a
lot of issues that both intrigued me and made me stop to think--and
I'm still thinking. The research involved must have been extensive and
exciting itself. What is interesting is the authors let us in on some
of the research with little bits of information between chapters. To
me, that made it even more believable and added many an AHA! The
twists at the end blew me away. Cotten Stone is a new heroine, unlike
any other, (I won't spoil it for you and tell you why she is so
special. You'll learn that in the prologue) and so real I believe
everything that happened. As a matter of fact, I still have that tiny
seed in my head--could this really be true? Great, great read. B&N
review
This
is an incredibly fast paced thriller ride. It takes the Da Vinci Code
to a brand new level. The Grail Conspiracy isn't the same story as Dan
Brown's at all, but it's the same type of experience, only better. It
raises some interesting and controversial issues regarding science,
religion, and blind faith. The characters are well-developed and
memorable (they stayed on my mind long after finishing the book), and
there is no flab in the writing to slow it down. From the first page
on, hold on to your seats. And the end was very satisfying. It's
definitely a keeper on my shelf. I hope to read more from Sholes and
Moore soon. B&N review
I enjoyed
reading The Grail Conspiracy, and hated to have it end. It was a great
mystery that we could envision really happening. I will recommend The
Grail Conspiracy to my customers. Juanita L.
What
is the record time for reading a book practically straight through?
From the beginning to the end, I was there. The characters were "real"
people. The action spellbinding. I love a good mystery, a love story,
a twist at the end. This was all that and more!!! Magic J&N
This is
not the same story as The Da Vinci Code and doesn't read like it is
supposed to be. This book is a fresh story with very memorable
characters. The moment I started it, I couldn't put it down. It kept
me turning every page as fast as I could read. The research done for
this book is apparent but not overdone and it doesn't sound like the
writer is trying to show off his research skills. Nor does the main
character know everything about everything. This book should be
getting more hype. It is sharp, crisp, fiction, thriller writing at
its best. S. Grabowski
This
truly is an interesting piece of fiction. The character development
and plot keep the reader's interest throughout, and the ending brings
it all together quite effectively. The only reason for the middle of
the road score is that this is but another book capitalizing on the
recent market trend Dan Brown seems to have blown wide open with the
Da Vinci Code. Don't get me wrong, its not that this book isn't
original, its just that one can't turn around without being smothered
in religious related conspiracy theory these days. And if you so
happen to be a person who reads them all and somehow still lusts for
more along such lines, Grail Conspiracy wont disappoint. Kevin P.
Sometimes, especially lately I'm finding myself not reading books to
the bitter end. I just seem to know what is coming and writers tend to
trail off in their innovation and energy. Not so in this book! All the
way through the book and to the END this book is well written fiction!
It was great, if you are interested in history, religion, or
conspiracy this book will hold you and not let you go to the LAST
page! Kevin R.
Having
never heard of this author I was not very interested in reading this
book at first. However, after reading the synopsis it seemed worth the
time as a diversion while on a recent flight. Being an avid reader I
was not expecting very much, but I was pleasantly surprised at the
level of characterization, plot and overall content. This is a great
read and I have recommended it to my friends. I believe that this
piece of literature is worth anyone's time and you would be remiss if
you don't give this book consideration. Trust me when I say you will
have a hard time putting it down. A. Fajardo
I
just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading "The Grail
Conspiracy." We got the pre-publication at our library and I read it
over the weekend--it was really hard to put down! Louise P.
I just
finished your book this weekend. I had put it aside to have an
uninterrupted period of time in which to read it so that I could
experience it all in the same time period. First of all, I loved it.
It was suspenseful, and such an intriguing topic. It was also very
readable although the topic was not one that I have familiarized
myself with. The heroine is very likable, actually I was afraid that
the priest John, for a while, was going to be a bad guy and I would
not have liked that.
I noted your reference to Fletcher's book in it and it made me smile.
I love finding those little touches of the author in a book when you
already know the author. Very cool. It will be picked up for a
movie. Definitely. It is gripping and well thought out.
Congratulations.
Jeanne K.
Not being
an avid reader I was a little apprehensive of this book by an unknown
author. However, a close friend recommended it and I enjoyed
immensely. The characters are very well developed and the plot is
driven with exciting and unexpected twists. I would highly recommend
this to anyone who is interested in this type of novel. Hopefully we
will get to read about the further adventures of Cotten Stone. Mark H.
This
book is so full of suspense, adventure, modern science, and religious
theories that you will not want to put it down. Cotten Stone and John
Tyler draw you in so effortlessly it feels as if you are with them on
their quest to expose the individuals who are behind the sacrilegious
Second Coming of Christ. This book is a must read, you will not be
disappointed! JM
Grail Conspiracy is a fast paced story that leads any reader who is
intrigued by conspiracy into a web of religious theories and mystery.
This books is filled with great detail regarding religion, science and
philosophy, but not to a level that overwhelms the reader. It is a
captivating story with characters who win your heart. Julie S.
This
book takes you for an exciting ride. I could not put the book down. I
have not read a book this captivating in a long time!! It is a MUST
read! TJ
The
Grail Conspiracy was excellent reading during the Hurricane, up until
the eye passed and then things got ugly around the house. Then while
waiting in a gas line (yes, I was one of the morons who ran low on
fuel!), I finished it. I really enjoyed it. I am a fan of that type of
fiction anyway, so for me it was a thrill to read. I think it would
make a fantastic movie.
I really thought John Tyler was gonna give it up for Cotten. I kept
waiting for him to go for it! I think the way it ended gave a lot of
credit to the good Catholic priests who really do remain celibate for
the Lord! Nicely done, but I am sucker for romance! Linda S.
I have been meaning to write you
a note and tell you that I loved your book! Congratulations on a great
read! I read it in one day (got up at 2:30 am that night to
finish)!!!! Then my parents came into town last night and I loaned it
to my father to read. When I woke up at 5:45 am to come to school and
he was up reading it! Kim C.
I just finished the Grail
Conspiracy. What an exciting book! The book really came alive for me.
Most all of the locations in the book I have visited--even the
Vatican. The historic St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter has
been on the news ever since Hurricane Katrina. I really loved the
heroine, Cotten. You are an amazing writer.
Do let me know when you have
another book published. Good Luck with the book. Barbara L.
N. said he was up until 1:00
this morning finishing the book because he could not put it down. He
thought it was great.
Just want you to know how much I
enjoyed your book, The Grail Conspiracy. It truly kept me in
suspense from the first page to the last. It is now making the rounds
in Pelican Bay. Thanks so much for signing it, also. Barb S.
After owning it for only 6
hours, I finished reading The Grail Conspiracy last night. What a page
turner! Being a believer AND an identical twin, I was mesmerized.
Thank you! Thank you! I only have one question - when can we see the
movie???? You both have every right to be proud. It was quite apparent
that you covered every angle to the max. The final "choice" kept me on
the edge of my seat! What would I have done???? Gulp. Priscilla W.
I wanted to let you and Joe know
how much I enjoyed your book!!! It was really great. Hope you can get
some good publicity so people will here about it. It was really a
timely plot since the popularity of "Da Vinci Code." What a great
book! Kathleen W.
I loved it! Great beach reading!
It was action-packed, fast moving, had lots of teaching knowledge and
was well written. I particularly liked the layout with the little
italicized memos or paragraphs. All the facts that you dropped and all
characters interdigitated well. You two obviously did lots of research
for that story. Congratulations. Joe B.
I ordered your book "The Grail
Conspiracy" about a month ago from Amazon.com and it was delivered
just this past week. I have already read it. It was terrific. It was
so good I couldn't put it down. In fact my wife commented that she had
never seen me so engrossed in a book. I enjoyed immensely. I was
really impressed. As well as I know you I did not know that you had a
theological background and I really enjoyed how you tied Biblical
prophesy and scripture into the story line. I know it will be a
success and I think it would make a great movie. I plan to order more
copies as gifts and recommend it to all of my friends. Tommy P.
